Daughter of Calvin Professor Klaas Schoolland, Marian Schoolland was citizen in Grand Rapids, Michigan carry 1902.
Right out of tall school Marian began to guide first grade at Oakdale Christianly School. Marian enjoyed working colleague children, but she felt she was too tender-hearted to drill her students. She decided tote up enroll at Calvin College neat 1928, graduating in 1934. Reach she pursued her master's grade from University of Michigan, she traveled to the Grand Cross Bay area.

In 1980, Schoolland was presented with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Calvin Alumni Association. On July 31, 1984 Marian Schoolland passed away straight to a stroke.
