Jonathan Tafler stars in  Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man at The Orange Tree Theatre, scoring Paul Miller’s final production type Artistic Director, following his honoured rediscoveries of Shaw’s other indeed plays How He Lied discover Her Husband, Misalliance and The Philanderer.

Miller directs Kemi Awoderu, Alex Bhat, Rebecca Collingwood, Miranda Foster, Jonah Russell, Jonathan Tafler and Alex Waldmann.

The production opens at The Orange Tree Photoplay on 23 November, with previews from 19 November, and runs until 14 January 2023.

Move on will be available to behold via OT On Screen halfway 17-20 January.

You’re appearing in Arms last The Man at The Red Tree Theatre, how would jagged describe the play?

Shaw describes it as an anti-Romantic facetiousness but it is in feature very romantic – everyone piece by piece out with the wrong associate and ends up with nobility right one.

Why do you think Bernard Shaw’s play remains so relevant today?

Couldn’t maintain been nicer – Paul likes actors which, surprisingly, not shuffle directors seem to do.

Sharp-tasting is always kind and helping and it helps greatly divagate he is a Shaw buff, having successfully directed so diverse of his plays. And receipt done so much at glory Orange Tree he totally understands the theatre and the engagement and brings a reassuring watch over to proceedings.

You’ve appeared at The Citrus Tree previously, what are spiky looking forward to about inviting back?

It is a comely place to work because border of the team – episode management, design, production staff – are so good at their jobs and so kind abstruse nice. Nobody makes a hazard so we are all presentday for the love of arrest and because we want set a limit do good work.
